The Omaha Lancers ended the Fall Classic on a high note after defeating the Madison Capitols by the score of 5-3.

Tommy Spencer opened the scoring for Omaha just a little less than 6 minutes into the second period. Spencer found himself on an odd-man rush before wristing it far blocker-side on Madison netminder Elliot Lennon to tie the game up at one goal apiece.
 
Omaha (1-1-0-0) continued their scoring later in the period with defenseman Mason Noble getting in on the action at 15:28 into the middle frame. Noble one-timed a shot off a Tanner Morgan feed as the Fairbanks, Alaska native put Omaha out in front for the first time this season at 2-1.
 
Just minutes later, Jack Stanius followed it up with another Lancers tally; this time coming on the power play. Just 6 seconds into the man-advantage, Stanius found the back of the cage to stretch Omaha's lead to 3-1.
 
The Lancers added two more goals in the third to help solidify their eventual 5-3 victory. Rylan Bydal scored his first career USHL goal at 8:38 into the third. And Ryan Aaronson added the final marker less than 5 minutes to go in the game.

Madison (0-2-0-0) was unable to slow down Omaha's power play, finishing 1 for 3 on the penalty kill.
