Rylan was selected by the Lancers in the first round of the 2026 USHL Phase II Draft with the second pick.

Bydal was named to the North American Hockey League’s All-Rookie Team and the Midwest Division Rookie of the Year last season. He recorded 53 points (16+37) in 57 games with the Anchorage Wolverines. He finished third on Anchorage in points and assists while scoring the fifth-most goals. Bydal also recorded the second-most power-play goals (4) and tied for the second-most game-winning goals (4) on the Wolverines. He recorded 13 multi-point games, including three multi-goal games.

Bydal has already appeared in the USHL, recording one assist while skating in five games for Green Bay last season.

In 2024-25, he skated in 27 games for Grand Forks Red River High School and recorded 49 points (24+25) as an alternate captain. Bydal posted 50 points (22+28) in 27 games the previous season and 3 points (2+1) in 26 games in 2022-23.

Bydal is committed to play Division I college hockey at Long Island University.
