Bruneteau, an Omaha native joins the Lancers after spending the prior season as an assistant coach with the Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL). Prior to this he was an assistant coach at the University of Alaska-Anchorage in the WCHA (NCAA DI) from 2018-2021. Before this Bruneteau helped start the program at Stevenson University (NCAA DIII) and led the Mustangs to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship with an 11-8-7 record.
Bruneteau is a former captain of the Lincoln Stars. He appeared in 146 games as a defenseman at Lake Superior State (2010-14) and served as captain of the Lakers. He earned the LSSU Jim Howie Unsung Hero Award three times and was a finalist for the Derek Hines Unsung Hero Award.
Bruneteau played professionally for the Fort Wayne Komets and Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL and spent two seasons with the Strasbourg Etoile Noire in Ligue Magnus.
