MAURINS HIGHLIGHTS LANCERS IN NHL DEVELOPMENT CAMPS

FIFTEEN LANCERS IN CAMPS THIS WEEK

Fifteen former or current Omaha Lancers are participating in NHL Development Camps this week.

Two of the three Lancers selected in the 2026 NHL Draft last week are with their teams, as are 13 other previous picks or invitees. Bobby Cowan heads to the Islanders' Development Camp after being selected in the seventh round Saturday. Fourth-round Winnipeg Jets selection Zach Wooten also puts on new colors this week.

Alex Bump is the lone attendee of a Development Camp this summer who has already appeared in an NHL game. Bump recorded 9 points (5+4) in 17 games with the Philadelphia Flyers before scoring two goals in six playoff games.

Nils Maurins is the only active member of the Lancers to appear in an NHL Development Camp this week. Maurins did not get drafted last weekend but received an invitation to the Vancouver Canucks' camp. The Riga, Latvia native went 11-18-2-2 with a 3.61 goals-against average and an .886 save percentage while tying for the USHL lead with three shutouts.
