The Storm opened the scoring just 31 seconds into the game, after a fluky bounce off the end boards from a Tri-City shot. Forward Nathan Garski was credited with the goal to give the Storm an early 1-0 advantage headed into the second.

Tri-City concluded the game in overtime with another tally from Samuel Courtemanche to clinch a 3-2 overtime victory. Courtemanche forced a takeaway in the Lancers' o-zone before the Yale commit skated in all alone to roof one over a sprawling
Anthony Sciere. Â
The Lancers finally broke through in the third period when
Yegor Kim cashed in first at the 3:35 mark. Kim was all alone in front of the net as the Kazakhstan native had two cracks at it before roofing it on the backhand to cut the deficit in half at 2-1.
Â
The Lancers added another to tie the game up at two with just under 4 minutes to go in regulation time.
Artem Prima cashed in on a Lancers power-play, giving Prima his first goal of the season. Prima, Kim, and Israilov would all get a point from each goal-scoring sequence in tonight's game.
The Lancers take on the Sioux Falls Stampede next Friday night at the Denny Sanford Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Puck drop for that one will be 7:05. The Lancers will then come back home at Liberty First Credit Union Arena Saturday night against the very same Tri-City club for Down Syndrome Awareness night. Puck drop for that one will be at 6:05.
