KEARNEY, NE- The Omaha Lancers traveled west in central Nebraska to take on the Tri-City Storm. The Lancers were thrashed by their arch rivals the previous night on their home ice as they would look to bounce back Friday Night on the road.
In the first period, Tri-City would draw first blood with forward Cameron Springer to make it a 1-0 Storm lead. Late in the first however, the Lancers would answer with forward Sam Scheetz tying it up at one goal apiece going into the middle frame.
In the second period, forward Nolan Roed would put the Storm back out in front at 2-1. However, the Lancers would come right back with a goal deflected off the stick of forward Caden Lee to knot the game back up at two goals apiece. Later in the period, forward Ben Osiashvili would go on a breakaway before cashing in to put the Lancers up 3-2 going into the third period of play.
In the third period with less than three and a half minutes to go in regulation, forward Carmelo Crandell netted one for the Storm to knot up the game at three. Later, with 38 seconds left in the game forward Attila Lippai would score one from the slot to help propel the Tri-City Storm past the Lancers in a 4-3 win.
