FORCE FEND OFF THE LANCERS

FARGO, ND- The Omaha Lancers concluded their two-game weekend in Fargo where they would look to bounce back from a overtime loss to the Force the previous night.

The scoring would not get started until the middle frame with the Lancers drawing first blood. Forward Jonah Aegerter would score to give the Lancers the 1-0 advantage just over 4 minutes into the second period. However, late in the second Fargo forward Elias Zimmerman would knot things up as Zimmerman would send the Force into the locker room with all the momentum.

Fargo forward Brady Arneson would pick up where his team left off in the middle frame as Arneson would score to put the Force up 2-1. Mid-way through the third however, it was the Lancers forward Sam Scheetz that respond right back for Omaha to tie it back up at two goals apiece. The Fargo Force would answer right back just minutes later as forward Ryan Zaremba would cash in to put the Force back on top at 3-2. The Lancers had their chances, but were not able to finish as the Force would hold on once again in another narrow 3-2 defeat.

The Lancers will be back in action on home ice against their arch rival Lincoln Stars in a Thursday Night matchup. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM CST. You can catch the game on Mixlr or FloSports with the voice of your Omaha Lancers Frank Zawrazky.
