FARGO, ND- The Lancers began their two-game weekend in Fargo against the Force Friday Night where the Lancers would look to end their losing streak.
Just over two minutes into the game, Fargo would get on the board as forward Brady Arneson would cash in to put the Force up 1-0. That would be the only goal scored in the first period play. The Lancers would respond in the middle frame as just a minute and a half into the period, forward Tanner Morgan would score to knot the game up at one apiece. Shortly after the goal, Tanner Morgan would get into a scrap at center ice with Fargo's Cullen McCrate with Morgan scoring the takedown. Mid-way through the second, the Lancers would score again. This time forward Sam Scheetz would wrist one on the rush to put the Lancers up 2-1 going into the third period.
In the third, Fargo forward Ryan Zaremba would score to tie it back up at two goals apiece. Fans would be treated to overtime hockey. With just seconds to go in the overtime period, Fargo Force Defenseman Pavel Prusek tallied the game winner and did the 'griddy' across center ice-giving the Fargo Force the 3-2 overtime win.
