MIKHAIL YEGOROV MAKES ALL-USHL ROOKIE SECOND TEAM

After A Solid Rookie Season, The Russian Netminder Earns A Regular Season Honor.

OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are proud to announce that Goaltender, Mikhail Yegorov has notched a spot on the All-USHL Rookie Second Team. 

Mikhail Yegorov, 18, of Moscow, Russia was drafted by the Omaha Lancers 88th overall in the sixth round of the 2023 USHL Entry Draft. The 17-year-old at the time was placed on the "2024 NHL Draft: Players To Watch List" in August of 2023, and was ranked the #4 goaltender in North America on the NHL Central Scouting Midterm rankings this past winter. 

On the season, Yegorov appeared in 43 games, the most among rookie goalies in the league and third most within all netminders, finished in the top 15 in save percentage (0.892), wasa one of 15 goaltenders to record a shutout, as well as playing 2,117 minutes on the season. Giving him the most minutes played within rookies and sixth most overall. 

Following the 2023-24 season, the Boston University Commit earned the honor of being ranked as the top North American Goaltender in the NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings. Passing the previous leader, Carter George (Owen Sound, OHL), Nicholas Kempf (U18, USNTDP) and Ryerson Leenders (Mississauga, OHL). 

The 6-foot-5, 179 pound goaltender is eligible to be drafted in the 2024 NHL Draft in Las Vegas, Nevada this June.
