LANCERS HIRE COLTEN ST. CLAIR AS NEW HEAD COACH

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OCT 9TH, 2024

The Omaha Lancers have relieved Lennie Childs as head coach and hired Colten St. Clair as his replacement, effective immediately. "We thank Lennie and wish him and his family well moving forward," Lancers Majority Owner Mike Picozzi said. "This was not an easy decision, but I believe now is the best time for the Lancers to move in a different direction."

St. Clair brings USHL experience as a player and coach. The Gilbert, Ariz. native played three seasons for the Fargo Force before wrapping up a four-year NCAA career at the University of North Dakota in 2016. Since stepping behind the bench, he served as an assistant coach for the University of Maine and Lancers. In 2021, he joined the Sioux City Musketeers as Associate Head Coach and inherited general manager duties in his second season. He was head coach of the Minnesota Wilderness in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) last season, clinching a playoff berth with a 30-25-2-3 regular-season record.

"Colten is highly respected within the hockey community and we are honored to name him head coach," Picozzi said. "I am confident that he, along with the coaching staff, will maximize the potential of our team and help us accomplish goals our organization set before the season."
