OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) have announced the acquisition of Forward, Lucas Brennan from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in exchange for a phase II, 4th round draft pick and future considerations.
Brennan, 19, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, comes to Omaha after skating in 17 games in a RoughRiders uniform and picking up two assists in the start of his first USHL season. Cedar Rapids currently sits in sixth place in the eastern conference with a record of 8-9-2-1.
The Bemidji State University Commit played two seasons in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) with the Selkirk Steelers from 2021-2023 before having any USHL experience. Gathering 112 points in 106 games. Including being the league leader in points in the 2022-23 season with 84 (41G-43A-84P).
The 5-foot-8, 168 pound forward is set to make his debut with the Lancers tonight (12/1), against Team USA (U18s) at Liberty First Credit Union Arena.
