LANCERS FALL TO SIOUX CITY 4-1

A Pair Of Colby Saganiuk Goals Help Propel Sioux City Past Omaha.

OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers opened their season series with one of the 1-29 rivals, the Sioux City Musketeers Thursday night at Liberty First Credit Union Arena.

The first period began with back-and-forth action from both sides before Sioux City would strike, as forward Tate Pritchard would find a loose puck in front of the Omaha goal as Lancer goalie Lucas Szyszka would have the puck hop off his paddle from below the goal-line before Pritchard buries it to give Sioux City the 1-0 lead going into the second period of play.

The second period the Lancers would takeover as they would eventually cash-in as defenseman Samo Meritahti would beat Sioux City netminder Bjorn Bronas blocker side to tie up the game at one apiece.

Late in the second however, Sioux City forward Colby Saganiuk would find the back of the net off a rebound to put Sioux City right back in front heading into the third at 2-1.

The third period would be all Sioux City as the Musketeers would cash-in once again with forward Colby Saganiuk getting his second of the game with a deflection in the slot to extend the Musketeers lead at 3-1.

Sioux City would not be done as forward Dylan Godbout would receive a pass before one-timing it short-side to ascend Sioux City to an eventual 4-1 win.

The Lancers are back in action tomorrow night (11/10) at Liberty First Credit Union Arena against the Sioux Falls Stampede. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM CST. You can catch the game on Mixlr or FloSports.
