After being acquired from the Muskegon Lumberjacks Nov. 22, 2025, Lantz quickly emerged as one of the Lancers’ top defensemen. He came to Omaha along with goaltender Brian Cooke in exchange for defenseman Branko Vukas and 2026 Phase II 4th round pick.

Lantz led Omaha blueliners with 23 points, 19 assists, 9 power-play assists and 1 power-play goal while tying for the most goals with 3. He was nearly a point-per-game player from Jan. 24-Mar. 27, picking up 17 points (3+14) over 21 games with three multi-point games in that span. Lantz scored his first goal as a Lancer Feb. 13 vs. Sioux Falls. He earned the USHL’s Defenseman of the Week honor Mar. 23 after combining to score a goal and add 4 assists in a pair of wins over the United States National Team Development Program’s U17 team Mar. 20-21.

The 2025 Clark Cup champion spent parts of two seasons with the Lumberjacks. He picked up 4 assists in 19 games before being traded to the Lancers last season. Lantz also played 19 games with Muskegon in the 2024-25 season before skating in 10 Clark Cup playoff contests. He recorded 3 points (1+2) in his inaugural USHL season, all in the regular season. Lantz scored his first USHL goal Jan. 25, 2025 as part of a two-point night vs. USA Hockey’s NTDP.

Prior to playing junior hockey, Lantz spent the 2023-24 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 16U AAA program, recording 39 points (9+30) in 55 games. The season prior, he recorded 34 points (10+24) in 55 games with the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals 16U AAA team. Following the 2022-23 season, Lantz was selected in the fifth round and 64th overall by Muskegon in the USHL Phase I Draft.
