Omaha Lancers

Charlie begins his third season as a Lancer this fall. He was named team captain Nov. 24, 2025.

Vig showcased his leadership in his second season with Omaha by finishing tied for the best plus-minus (+9), the second-most points (32), tied for the second-most games played (59), tied for the third-most power-play goals (3) and tied for the fifth-most goals (11). He recorded two multi-goal games, with the first coming Jan. 10 at Waterloo and the second as part of a season-high 3-point night (2+1) vs. Lincoln Mar. 15. Vig concluded the season with 9 points (4+5) over his final seven games to help the Lancers go 5-1-0-1 over that stretch.

Vig played in 28 games for the Lancers in the 2024-25 season, recording 4 points (3+1). He made his Lancers’ debut Jan. 17 and scored his first USHL goal Feb. 21 at Tri-City.

Vig made his USHL debut not with the Lancers, but with USA Hockey’s NTDP Sep. 21-22, 2024 at the Dick’s Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic.

Before playing in the USHL, Vig skated in 26 games for his hometown Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League in 2024-25. He recorded 47 points (23+24) in 27 games the season prior at Bismarck Century High School.

Vig is committed to play Division I college hockey at Bemidji State University. His brother, Maxon, will be a sophomore for the Beavers this fall.
